Leap Lighting
Leap Lighting Project
During UB Hacking 2017, UB's hackathon, my group and I used a device called a Leap Motion to create a wireless, gesture based lighting control device that communicates with ETC's eos software over OSC (Open Sound Control). The Leap Motion connects to a computer via USB. This computer sends RGB values over a network to the computer running eos. The computer translates the values into OSC messages, and sends them locally to eos to be executed. Below is a video demonstrating a basic idea of how to use it, followed by a presentation of our project at the end of the hackathon. Our project placed within the top 5 projects at the hackathon.
